Workplace Induction Videos, Filmed on Your Site

An induction video delivers the same presentation every time. New starters get a consistent introduction to your workplace, and the people who used to present it get their time back.

  • Filmed on your site
  • Priced from $3,900 + GST
  • Captions included
  • Quoted to scope

Types of induction video

Tell us who the induction is for and what it needs to cover. We build it around your site.

  • General induction

An introduction to the business, its expectations and how the workplace runs, for everyone who starts.

  • Site-specific induction

Your site, your layout, your entry points and your site rules, filmed where they apply.

  • High-risk-area induction

Extra instruction for areas that need it, shown in the area it applies to.

  • Role-based induction

What a specific role needs to know, so people are not sitting through content that is not theirs.

  • Re-induction

A refresher you can play again without rebuilding the presentation each time.

The JL King & Co. induction video

For new starters and staff completing re-inductions, JL King’s HR team previously spent around an hour personally delivering the induction each time. We turned that presentation into a dedicated induction video. Now the team plays it on the meeting-room TV, which frees HR to attend to higher-priority tasks instead of repeating the same presentation.

What an induction video can cover

What goes in depends on your workplace. These are the kinds of topics induction videos commonly cover.

Keep each video to the content everyone needs. Detailed, area-specific or machine-specific material works better as separate SOP videos that people open when they need them. Read our guide to what to include.

A video does not replace a site walk-through, supervision or practical competency assessment where those are required.

  • Who you are, what the business does and what is expected of people who work there
  • Getting around the site: entry, parking, amenities and areas to avoid
  • Emergency procedures and where to go in an emergency
  • How to report hazards, incidents and injuries, and who to tell
  • Personal protective equipment and where it is required
  • Key site rules and who to ask for help

How induction videos are priced

Induction videos are priced from $3,900 + GST ($4,290 inc GST) and quoted to scope. The $2,100 + GST Starter price is for one SOP video only. Tell us what your induction covers, who it is for (employees, contractors, visitors), how many areas or roles it needs to address, and whether you need language options, and we will price it.

How it works

How we make an induction video

  1. Two workers in hard hats, masks and gloves working at a piece of industrial equipment

    Step 01

    Capture

We confirm what the induction needs to cover, map it out and film on site with the people who know the work.

  2. A technician using a tablet beside screens showing technical drawings

    Step 02

    Build

We structure the footage into a clear presentation designed for workplace use.

  3. Two workers in hi-vis reviewing information on a tablet inside a large facility

    Step 03

    Deploy

We deliver the finished video ready for the meeting room, the floor or your training system.

Questions

Induction video questions

How much does an induction video cost?

Induction videos are priced from $3,900 + GST and quoted to scope. Tell us what your induction covers and we will confirm the price. The $2,100 + GST SOP Video Starter is for a single SOP video only.

How long should an induction video be?

There is no single right length. Cover what every person must know before they start, and move detailed or area-specific material into separate videos. Shorter, focused videos are easier to keep current.

Can the same video be used for re-inductions?

Yes. A video can be played whenever it is needed, for new starters and for staff completing re-inductions, without anyone presenting it again.

Can you record that people have watched it?

Digital acknowledgements, progress visibility and exportable completion records are available through a branded Training Hub. Records show that training was delivered and acknowledged; they are not a competency assessment.

Do you work with sites outside Bendigo?

Yes. We are based in Bendigo and work across regional Victoria, and also support businesses in New South Wales and Queensland. National and multi-site delivery is available based on project requirements.
