SOP Video Production, Filmed at Your Workplace

An SOP video shows a workplace procedure being done the way your site does it, with your people, your equipment and your approved steps, so every worker gets the same clear instruction.

  • On-site filming, including travel
  • SOP Video Starter $2,100 + GST
  • 3–5 minute video
  • Captions included

What is an SOP video?

A standard operating procedure (SOP) is usually a document. It sets out the steps, the order and the checks. An SOP video shows the same procedure being carried out on your site, so a new starter, or someone covering another area, can see how it is done instead of only reading about it.

We build each video from your approved procedure. We do not rewrite your procedure; the video makes it easier to follow. If a step is unclear, or is done differently on different shifts, that usually comes out in the planning session, and it is worth settling before filming starts.

Training that suits video

Video earns its cost when a procedure is repeated, physical or important to get right. These are the signs we look for.

Not sure whether your procedure is a good fit? Describe it in the enquiry form and we will tell you plainly whether video suits it. Our guide to choosing the first SOP to film may help.

  • A procedure supervisors explain again and again
  • An induction your team presents repeatedly
  • Training that is performed or refreshed frequently
  • Steps that vary between shifts, sites or departments
  • Work that is hard to follow from text alone
  • Safety or quality checkpoints that matter

How it works

How an SOP video is made

The same three stages run through every project: capture, build, deploy.

  1. Two people in hard hats and hi-vis reviewing a laptop together in a workshop

    Step 01

    Review and plan

We review your approved procedure, run a planning session with you, develop a script from the SOP and prepare a shot list.

  2. Two workers in hard hats, masks and gloves working at a piece of industrial equipment

    Step 02

    Film on site

We film at your workplace with the operators who do the work, using your equipment and your processes. On-site filming, including travel, is part of the Starter.

  3. A technician using a tablet beside screens showing technical drawings

    Step 03

    Edit

We edit one 3–5 minute video with instructional titles, graphics and captions, and include one revision round.

  4. Two workers in hi-vis reviewing information on a tablet inside a large facility

    Step 04

    Deliver

The finished video is delivered mobile and desktop ready, with a QR code so it can be opened at the workplace, for example at the machine.

Using SOP videos on the floor

One procedure per video keeps each one short and easy to revisit on the job. A QR code at the machine or work area lets a worker open the right video on a phone when they need it.

As you add procedures, the videos become a library organised by department, role or site. When you want acknowledgements, progress visibility and exportable records alongside the videos, they can sit in a branded Training Hub.

Completion records demonstrate that training was delivered and acknowledged. Practical competency should still be assessed by an appropriately authorised person where required.

Examples of procedures that suit video, by industry

We work with manufacturing, food production, warehousing, construction and agriculture. These pages describe the kinds of procedures that commonly suit video in each.

  • Manufacturing

Machine start-up and shut-down, changeovers and area-specific procedures.

  • Food production

Hygiene entry, cleaning and sanitising, line checks and packing procedures.

  • Warehousing

Forklift pre-starts, goods receipt, picking, dispatch and traffic rules.

  • Construction

Site inductions, plant pre-starts and site rules for new starters and subcontractors.

  • Agriculture

Machinery pre-starts, chemical handling and seasonal worker inductions.

Questions

SOP video questions

How long is an SOP video?

The SOP Video Starter produces one professionally edited video of 3–5 minutes for a single procedure.

Do you film at our workplace?

Yes. Filming happens on site with your operators, your equipment and your processes. On-site filming, including travel, is included in the Starter.

Do you write our SOP?

No. The video is built from your approved procedure. It sits alongside the written SOP, it does not replace it.

Can we start with one video and add more later?

Yes. Many businesses start with one frequently repeated procedure. You can add procedures, machine-specific training and inductions over time, one at a time.

Does a video replace competency assessment?

No. A video shows the procedure consistently, but practical competency should still be assessed by an appropriately authorised person where required.

How do we get started?
